AD(H)D networking group
Contents: Basic information about the self-help group, target group, contact details.
In collaboration with the Student Advising and Counselling (ZSB), the Accessibility Service (ZAB) aims to provide students with Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder with a supportive community on an equal footing. That is why the AD(H)D networking group was set up.
What is the self-help group?
A self-help group brings together people in the same or similar life situations, facing the same or similar problems. Through mutual support and shared discussion, participants are empowered to help themselves, with the group being led not by professionals but by those affected themselves.
The participants in the AD(H)S networking group – all of whom are students – meet in a supportive atmosphere where they can talk openly about their experiences and the challenges of living with AD(H)S in everyday student life, as well as share tips and tools.
Who is this networking group aimed at?
All full-time students with ADHD or ADD who are keen to engage in open discussion are welcome. The group meets every two weeks in the late afternoon or evening for approximately 1.5 hours. The coordinators organise a venue for the participants and offer support with any questions or issues.
Contact
If students at Bielefeld University are interested in the networking group, they can register at adhs-gruppe@uni-bielefeld.de for a brief introductory meeting.
