Word (Checklist and Implementation Guide)

Below you will find consolidated information on creating accessible Word documents. In addition to the checklist, the implementation guide provides practical support for addressing individual checkpoints.

In the implementation guide, each aspect is divided into three sections:

Under the heading ‘What does this mean?’, you will find a detailed description of the respective aspect to be checked. The section ‘Why is this important?’ explains which barriers are addressed by the respective aspect and for which groups of people this is essential. Finally, under the heading ‘How can you implement/check this?’, you will find detailed instructions on how to implement or review the respective aspect.

To meet a wide range of needs and enable independent use regardless of time and place, the checklist Accessible Word (Word document) and the implementation guide Accessible Word (Word document) are available for download.
