Moodle (checklist and implementation guide)

Although Moodle itself is not programmed to be fully accessible, it is possible to remove or even prevent barriers created by course creators. To this end, we have compiled checklists and accompanying implementation guides to help you design a Moodle course that is as accessible as possible.

In addition to the checklist, the implementation guide offers practical support for addressing individual checkpoints.

In the implementation guide, each aspect is divided into three sections:

Under the heading "What does this mean?", you will find a detailed description of the aspect to be ticked off. The section "Why is this important?" describes which barriers you are removing with the respective aspect and for which groups of people this is essential. Finally, under the heading "How can you implement/check this?", you will find detailed instructions on how to implement or check the respective aspect.

To meet all needs and enable you to use these resources whenever and wherever you like, the "Accessible Moodle" checklist (Word document) and the "Accessible Moodle" implementation guide (Word document) are available for download.
