Assistance dogs

Trained assistance dogs provide long-term support to people with a wide range of disabilities or medical conditions in their everyday lives. They help their owners to participate in social life in a self-determined and independent manner by compensating for disability-related disadvantages and breaking down barriers in the environment. Together, the person and the assistance dog form a team, known as the person-assistance dog partnership.
