Audio description

Audio description helps blind and severely visually impaired people to better understand videos. A voice describes what is happening on screen – for example, who is in the frame, what is happening at that moment, or where the action is taking place. Any text that appears on screen is also read aloud. This makes the content accessible through hearing alone. To achieve this, an additional audio track is created, combining the video’s original audio with the spoken descriptions of the visuals. These descriptions are inserted during the pauses between dialogue.
