Pictogram

Pictograms are simplified symbols that represent information, objects or concepts in a universal and language-independent way.

This can, amongst other things, support people with disabilities by making information quick and intuitive to understand, particularly where language barriers exist or reading text is difficult. For example, people with cognitive impairments, deaf people or those with limited language skills can find their way around more easily and gain access to services and places.
