Equity Design

Equity Design is a design approach that actively integrates social justice into the design process. It is a creative process aimed at dismantling systems of oppression and (re)designing them towards liberation and healing, by placing the power of communities historically affected by these oppressive systems at the centre. Equity Design draws on methods from human-centred design and systems thinking to achieve social impact. It is particularly applied in education, urban development and social innovation.
