General Equal Treatment Act (AGG)

The General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) comprises 33 sections which offer protection against discrimination to all people in Germany – for example, on the grounds of their age, gender, chronic illness or disability, religious affiliation, sexual identity, or on the grounds of racist or anti-Semitic discrimination (Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency, as at December 2022).
